Social Networking – 7 Need To Know Tips

Social Networking is the easiest and (in my opinion) most effective Internet Marketing technique. The best thing about social networking is it is 100% FREE. It makes the whole proces of driving traffic to your sites and list building easier than ever before!

Now there are many social networking sites out there but the two I am going to focus on are Twitter and Facebook. This is because they are the two most popular; around 15 million people use Twitter and 65 million people use Facebook.

This means whatever you are promoting you are guaranteed there will be a considerable number of people that will be interested in your product.

The key to social networking effectively and making money online is to target specific people and ensure they buy from you, here are some top tips how: 1. Make sure your account/profile reflects the business you are involved with and who you are.

2. Write a little bio about yourself and what niche you are involved with, if you are an internet marketer state that and let them know how you can help them.

3. Personalize you site; include picutres of yourself and of your family and pets. This straight away lets the viewer know you are a real person and not an automated robot. People will warm to that fact.

4. Have links to your sites on your profile; to do this on Facebook and Twitter have the links in your “about me” section and leave them whenever you update your status. This way your friends or followers on the social networking sites can easily find out more about you and your product.

5. Connect with new visitors/friends straight away. You do this by drafting up a generic email and sending it to any new social networking friends. Introduce yourself, let them know how you can benefit them and what product/home business you’re involved with. Then ask to hear more about that person which will lead to most people replying as you’ve asked about them not just talked about your product.

6. Constantly update your social networking status with helpful and to the point information. For example I’m an internet marketer so I continually give people access to useful Internet Marketing information; it could be a free report or a link to a helpful site (can be your own site as well!). This brands you as a leader as you are helping others, people will look up to as you can direct them to success.

7. Specify the people you are friends with on social networking sites. This gives you targeted traffic; to do this search for keywords that appear on other peoples profiles. If for example I am promoting a new dog food product I would search the word “dog”, this will bring me up results of people that have the word “dog” on their profile meaning they likely own a dog and so would be interested in buying a dog food product.

Key point – limit the number of people you add on Facebook to 20 a day and the number of people you add on Twitter to 200 a day.

With social networking the key point is to keep it up; you have to continually add more people to your social networking sites if you are to drive large numbers of traffic to your sites.

Facebook And FriendFeed

Well, I’m sure that you’ve learned the news now that FriendFeed has been purchased by Facebook. This is working to put Facebook on the map for real-time search inquiries just like on Twitter. It sure does look like that Facebook is running after Twitter, hard-core.

The brand-new real-time search will be a leap forward for Facebook. They don’t have to search over extended complex updates to see what is going on, but now it’ll be in clear concise coordinate tabs to help you bound between friends listings and FriendFeeds.

This is very important because for a long time Facebook is fallen are weak Twitter in momentum. Twitter has become the sole place that a lot of people go to to find up to the second word on their hot subjects. This is the way that the Cyberspace is going. Outside from Google spiders that take 30 minutes to five minutes to find pages, and more towards user driven search engines. I then found myself seeking Twitter instead of Google what I want to find out something.

Now you’ll be able to spring all over the Facebook search engine just like you would with Twitter is a list of updated news stories even from someones that are not on your friends list.

To see more and more from Facebook as they shape into this new functionality that they have and I’m sure you’ll see more and more promotion of this leap forward from Facebook.

What it all comes down to though, I’m still going to use twitter at this place to ping my community of interests that I have composed this post. I guess… have to wait a little bit longer until Facebook and FriendFeed get things up and ranging.

There’s no question about it though, this is where the Internet is going towards real-time searches because people want things faster and faster. Just look at broadband Internet and its expansion of the past 2 years. Pretty soon we’ll be beaming information from one person to another instantaneously.

We will just have to see how Facebook and FriendFeed compete with twitter and what routes things head in the future. One thing’s for sure, this business plan is worth millions to both companions. Who will succeed? We will see.

Did You Lose Your Customer Base Inside Facebook ?

A few days ago, I wrote an article that was republished a number of times around the internet. In it I detailed a little bit of the angst being felt by people who had been banned or suspended while diddling around in the social network – Facebook.

Go ahead, say it – so what ? Granted that being suspended from facebook pales next to world hunger and global melting or is that global warming. But, if you were the cherished one expected to invite 600 wedding guests to your mother-in-laws anniversary and suddenly you got suspended after sending out only 20 invites, well you know then that being banned at such an auspicious time is going to look a little suspicious, right?

So, if you just got suspended while doing someone else a favor, and you are sitting around reading this article and wondering if your suspension might get released tomorrow. Dream on. Same for if you ignored the warning suspension messages and went direct to a facebook ban. Those invitations didn’t go out and you know you are in a pile of deep do do. Look around the front page of facebook, the address is there for dispute resolution. Get a message to them right away, but don’t hold your breath while doing this.

Mom & Pop facebook marketing operations frequently lose their profiles when they are caught outright. Facebook has an engine in the background that watches for what is considered abnormal behavior. It has been tracking and analyzing normal user behavior inside Facebook for quite some time now, so figuring out activity that is not the norm and running that past its comparison engine that has 100 Million samples to compare with must be a thing of real beauty.

In that syndicated article, I mentioned the ease with which a user can *miss* an important facebook warning message. For many users, its simply an interruption in their smooth running thought process as they navigate from page to page within Facebook. Ohh, so easy to ignore.

But I can be excused, I suppose for not thoroughly listing at that time the many ways that most users get hung up suspended and banned by Facebook rules. Well here are the top activities to stay clear of while doodling around in Facebook.

Blatant Nudity – for you exhibitionists this is a no no Writing to too many people who are not your friends ( yet ) Writing too much to people who have invited you to be their friend but whom you have not yet accepted. Writing on too many walls in a short period of time – looks like spam

Creating a group inside Facebook with the Facebook name/word in it – its trademarked you know. Creating a website outside of facebook with the facebook name in it. Hijacking the accounts of others – only a hacker would do this one Using an image that you do not have the authority to use – tens of thousands do this. Using the facebook email like its twitter. Surprise it’ s not, there is a chat facility for that and its what facebook now suggests you use.

We see two forms of general problems that people fall prey to just before getting banned or suspended. One of them, which includes posting obvious un-artistic nude pictures and hacking etc., is a pretty blatant activity on the part of the user and the reasons for getting banned are obvious enough.

Generally, it would appear that there are two classes of evil that can get one banned or suspended from facebook. Nudity and stealing images and other such types of activity is one class of activity.

a time based limit that has been exceeded such as inviting two hundred strangers to be your friend in a week which is allowed, but not if done in 30 minutes.

Read the Terms of Conditions and if you get suspended or banned there is an email where you can try to plead your case. I suspect they get thousands of pleading emails daily, so don’t expect a quick answer. One to three weeks may be the norm for a response.

An Unusual Ecard

In recent years, ecards become a common computer application since ecards can be used easily. People only have to do a few steps. An ecard can be sent out within a very short period of time because the procedures of using ecard are very simple.

Due to the convenience of using ecards, people tend to send out a mass amount of ecards but ignore the quality of ecards. Thus, the ecards become ugly, rough and not creative enough. Ecards become an assignment but not a gift.

Many people use ecard because they want to save time and money. They send a birthday greeting to friend because it is a tradition. During special day, you can just leave a message on the blog of your friend or send him an email. Ecards are used in the same condition.

Of course it is not a suitable way to use ecard. Ecard, actually, give a chance for you to show your creativity. Besides, we send messages and greetings to friends because we want to celebrate with them but not due to the usual practice of our society.

In order to prevent the abuse of ecards, we have to understand the goal of using ecard first. Ecards give a easier, cheaper, more interactive and more convenient way for people to send greetings and interact with friends.

However, we cannot send an ecard without putting effort. Otherwise, you just send a junk mail to your friends. Ecards should be beautiful drew. Although it may take a lot of time, it is worth to make a beautiful ecard..

The factors affecting the appearance of ecard include drawing techniques and your heart. If you are not good at drawing, you can still make an ecard your friend liked. As long as you fill the ecards with heart and love, your friends must feel it.

Certainly, ecard is very convenience. But, we have to give out some high quality ecards instead of the usual practice one. Send a beautiful ecard to your friends with your blessing and effort. Your friends must like it.
